Right-of-occupancy housing

At Asokodit, if you want you can move into a large home with just a small investment. For the right of occupancy, you pay just 15% of the price of the dwelling. If later you decide to give up the dwelling, your right-of-occupancy payment will be returned to you after three months.

You can apply for right-of-occupancy housing from Asokodit once you have first been placed on the register of applicants in your home municipality. There are a total of almost 14,000 right-of-occupancy dwellings in 33 municipalities. Find out about the alternatives and read more here.

Please note: Following the revision of the Right of Occupancy Act on 1 January 2006, the process of exchanging homes was simplified and asset limits were removed from senior citizens.
